My (Not) Daily Walk Project (2025)

I was recently inspired by a podcast to take photos during my walks, which should be daily but are not always.

Since my weekdays are busy, I usually walk close to home. I hope this challenge will turn my walks into a creative exploration of my neighborhood. Each walk should offer a chance to see the world from a fresh perspective, noticing things like the changing light, the seasons, and the diverse subjects around me, from colorful flowers to stunning landscapes.

My full-time job limits my outdoor camera time, but when I can go out, I want to focus on the small details, such as the texture of tree bark or the patterns of leaves on the ground. I plan to experiment with different techniques, angles, and compositions to improve my creative thinking and technical skills in the short time I have, usually about 30 minutes.

I'm curious to see how this practice will change my photography and what I could do differently. Ultimately, I'm excited to see how capturing moments during my daily walk enhances my overall experience of it and develop my creativity.

Watch this space as I upload my images.
