Kelly Hall Tarn (2024 Project)
I chose Kelly Hall Tarn for my project in 2024 because it’s close to home and I thought I could visit often. In reality, I mostly went on the last day of each month to take a photo for this project. I learned that my full-time job leaves me too tired to be creative after work, so I only went there at weekends, which were also busy with other activities. This meant I missed the best conditions for photography. In future, I’ll plan projects with more flexibility.
In October, I finally saw the Aurora Borealis there, which was amazing. It was a big learning experience, and I hope to improve my photos of the Aurora at this spot in the future. I’ve written a blog about photographing the Aurora and what I learned.
Kelly Hall Tarn and the area around it will always be a place I visit and enjoy. It’s been nice to see it through all the seasons, some better for photos than others.
Below are the pictures I took throughout the year.
